Municipal Infrastructure | Roadway, Drainage & Utility Upgrades
The Eagle Creek Infrastructure Improvement Project was a large-scale municipal infrastructure initiative designed to modernize aging public utilities, improve roadway safety, and support future economic development within the Eagle Creek corridor.
Originally constructed in the late 1970s, the existing infrastructure had reached the end of its service life, creating frequent drainage issues, deteriorating road surfaces, and limited capacity for new commercial development.
The project involved a complete reconstruction of roadway systems, installation of new stormwater drainage infrastructure, replacement of aging water and sewer lines, and the addition of pedestrian and traffic safety improvements along the corridor.
Through coordinated planning with city engineers, utility providers, and transportation authorities, the project delivered long-term infrastructure improvements that will serve the community for decades.
Client: City of Eagle Creek
Project Type: Public Infrastructure Improvements
Construction Value: $18.4 Million
Project Length: 3.2 Miles
Timeline: 14 Months
Project Sector: Transportation & Utilities Infrastructure
The project included the full reconstruction of 3.2 miles of municipal roadway, replacing deteriorated asphalt and base materials with a new engineered roadway system designed to support higher traffic volumes.
Key improvements included:
Complete roadway excavation and subgrade stabilization
Installation of new aggregate base layers
Asphalt paving with high-performance surface mix
New roadway striping and signage
Road widening in key traffic areas
The upgraded roadway significantly improved driving conditions and reduced long-term maintenance requirements.
A major component of the project involved correcting long-standing drainage problems that caused flooding during heavy rainfall events.
Our team installed an entirely new stormwater management system including:
6,800 linear feet of reinforced concrete storm pipe
Multiple stormwater collection basins
Large culvert installations at creek crossings
Reinforced drainage channels and erosion protection
These improvements now allow the area to handle significantly higher stormwater volumes while protecting surrounding properties from flooding.
In addition to surface improvements, the project replaced aging underground utilities that had experienced repeated service failures.
Utility upgrades included:
Installation of new municipal water mains
Replacement of aging sanitary sewer lines
Modern utility access manholes
Service connections for future commercial expansion
These improvements modernized the utility network and increased service reliability for residents and businesses along the corridor.
To improve public safety and accessibility, the project incorporated several new pedestrian and traffic control features.
Safety improvements included:
ADA-compliant sidewalks
Pedestrian crossings and curb ramps
LED roadway lighting
New traffic signal installations at major intersections
Improved visibility and signage
These additions created a safer environment for both drivers and pedestrians.
Because Eagle Creek Road is a key transportation corridor, construction had to be carefully phased to maintain traffic access throughout the project.
Our team implemented:
Temporary traffic detours
Lane shift systems
Night and off-peak construction schedules
This approach minimized disruption to commuters and local businesses.
Several sections of the corridor crossed sensitive drainage areas requiring environmental protection measures.
The project included:
Sediment control systems
Erosion prevention barriers
Controlled construction zones near waterways
Restoration of disturbed green spaces
All work was performed in compliance with local environmental regulations.
The Eagle Creek Infrastructure Improvement Project successfully modernized critical infrastructure while improving roadway safety and supporting future economic development.
The completed project delivered:
Improved roadway durability and traffic capacity
Enhanced stormwater management and flood prevention
Modernized water and sewer infrastructure
Safer pedestrian and transportation systems
Today, the Eagle Creek corridor provides reliable infrastructure that supports both residential communities and future commercial growth.
